Brazilian Blowout: Frequently Asked Questions

Updated: Oct 28, 2022

Unlike any other keratin treatment out there, the Original Brazilian Blowout is one of a kind. I get so many questions about this amazing treatment, Check out the most popular ones below:

What is a Brazilian Blowout Treatment?

The Original Brazilian Blowout Treatment smooths, eliminates frizz and improves the health of the hair. The Brazilian Blowout consist of a liquid keratin that bonds to your hair to create a protective layer around each strand, effectively diminishing frizz, sealing the cuticle, and providing armor against any external damage. After the treatment, your hair will be completely hydrated, without frizz, and more resilient to heat styling. Not to mention, with an insanely glossy shine.

What hair types would you recommend for a Brazilian Blowout?

In my experience, a good candidate for the Brazilian Blowout is anyone who has frizzy, damaged or overprocessed hair. I have performed this treatment on every hair type (fine/course/frizzy/curly/straight, wavy) as well with extensions. In doing so, I've noticed every hair type can benefit from a Brazilian Blowout, in so many different ways. Since the treatment is fully customizable, it can be formalized exactly to your needs. It's truly amazing and one of a kind.

Can I receive Color & a Brazilian Blowout on the same day?

Yes, the color will be done before the Brazilian Blowout treatment.

(Pictured below is after a Brazilian Blowout with Color done on the same day.)

How soon can I get my hair color after receiving a Brazilian Blowout?

You should wait at least two weeks after a Brazilian Blowout to color your hair for best results. The color will not deposit as effectively because of the protein protective layer provided by the Brazilian Blowout. But you can receive color and a Brazilian Blowout on the same day. The color will be done first, then the treatment.

Will my hair be completely straightened?

No. This treatment will ONLY reduce curl about 50% and will NOT take away your natural curl.

How soon can I wash my hair after the Brazilian Blowout?

You can wash your hair immediately after the Brazilian Blowout treatment, or as you would normally. Keep in mind, you will need a specific shampoo to use with this treatment.

Will my hair return to its original state?

Yes, the hair will revert to its original state once the Brazilian Blowout treatment has completed its life cycle of 3-5 months+, however, the condition of the hair will actually improve as a result of the fortifying and conditioning nature of The Brazilian Blowout.

If you have any more questions about this amazing treatment, don't hesitate to ask!
